IAS ਸੰਜੈ ਪੋਪਲੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੀ ਗੋਲੀ,ਮੌਤ, ਮੌਕੇ ‘ ਤੇ ਮੌਤ, ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਟੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਘਟਨਾ-
ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 25 ਜੂਨ-ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਆਈ.ਏ.ਐੱਸ. ਸੰਜੈ ਪੋਪਲੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ‘ਤੇ ਫਾਇਰਿੰਗ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅੱਜ ਸੰਜੈ ਪੋਪਲੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਟੀਮ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਬਹਿਸ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੰਜੈ ਪੋਪਲੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਕਾਰਤਿਕ) ਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰ ਲਈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੰਜੈ ਪੋਪਲੀ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਟੀਮ ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ. ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਾਰਤਿਕ ਨੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

Four days after the Punjab Vigilance arrested IAS officer Sanjay Popli and his accomplice on corruption charges, Popli’s son reportedly committed suicide at their house in Sector 11 here.Kartik Popli allegedly shot himself in the head with his father’s pistol, on the first floor of the house.
A team of Vigilance was present in the house when the incident was reported.Local police were sounded, who reached the spot and started an investigation.Popli was arrested on June 20, for allegedly taking one per cent commission from the contractor of a Rs 7-crore sewerage project in Nawanshahr during the Congress government.
