2 ਸਾਲਾਂ ‘ਚ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ-ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ਤੇ 5 ਸਾਲਾਂ ‘ਚ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ, ਨੋਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਜਾਰੀ – Chandigarh to phase out fuel-based vehicles-
The administration said they have approved the policy to make UT a ‘Model EV City’ with highest zero emission vehicles (ZEV) among Indian cities, in five years.Declaring itself a model electric vehicles (EV) city, the Chandigarh administration Tuesday while notifying the EV policy stated that within two years from now, they will entirely stop the registrations of petrol-based two wheelers. In a similar move, registration of personal fuel based cars will be reduced to 50 per cent, four years from now, UT administration said. The administration rolled out the five-year policy to the public, stating that minimum achievable targets have been set aside for each year. The policy was approved by UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit Tuesday.

The policy comes into force with immediate effect.While setting targets for each e-vehicle category every year, the UT administration also notified that all those buying electric vehicles from now on will not only get a subsidy of upto Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh, but also a waiver of road tax, during the policy period.
ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ ਹੁਣ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰੀ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਮਾਰੂਤੀ ਸੁਜ਼ੂਕੀ, ਫੋਕਸਵੈਗਨ, ਸਕੋਡਾ, ਨਿਸਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੇਨੋ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਹੌਂਡਾ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਸੂਚੀ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਦਰਅਸਲ, ਹੌਂਡਾ (Honda) ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਜਲਦ ਹੀ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੌਂਡਾ ਕਾਰਸ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਸੀਈਓ, ਟਾਕੁਯਾ ਸੁਮੁਰਾ (Takuya Tsumura) ਨੇ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਇੰਜਣ ‘ਚ ਅਸਲ ਡਰਾਈਵਿੰਗ ਐਮੀਸ਼ਨ ਯਾਨੀ RDE ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੈ। ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੀਅਲ ਡਰਾਈਵਿੰਗ ਇਮਿਸ਼ਨ (ਆਰ.ਡੀ.ਈ.) ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਨਿਯਮ ਯੂਰਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਬ੍ਰਾਂਡ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੇ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਈਏ ਕਿ ਆਰਡੀਈ ਸਟੈਂਡਰਡ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਿਯਮ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, CAFE-2 ਯਾਨੀ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਔਸਤ ਈਂਧਨ ਅਰਥ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ 2 ਮਾਨਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਨਵੇਂ ਨਿਯਮ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਐਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਮਾਪਦੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਹੋਂਡਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ ਚਾਰ ਵਾਹਨ ਵੇਚਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਬਕੰਪੈਕਟ SUV WR-V, ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਮ ਹੈਚਬੈਕ ਜੈਜ਼, ਮਿਡ-ਸਾਈਜ਼ ਸੇਡਾਨ ਸਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਪੈਕਟ ਸੇਡਾਨ ਅਮੇਜ਼ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਹੌਂਡਾ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਚ ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਈਬ੍ਰਿਡ ਕਾਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਫੋਕਸ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਕੰਪਨੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ‘ਚ ਹੌਂਡਾ ਸਿਟੀ ਦਾ ਹਾਈਬ੍ਰਿਡ ਮਾਡਲ ਵੀ ਲਾਂਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰ ਸੈਗਮੈਂਟ ‘ਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ 26.50 kmpl ਦੀ ਮਾਈਲੇਜ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
